director election The PSA is electing its next director!
One set of candidates – Erin Buchanan and Savannah Lewis – have decided to co-run for the position. So, we will use this election to do a vote of confidence for their candidacy. You can review their candidacy statement here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Lr6JQqmuZQLwzsZOoveyECJ6tEotJsUW/view?usp=sharing) , and please reach out to the candidates if you have questions for them!
The deadline to vote is March 22. Voting will occur via the PSA’s Canvas platform (https://canvas.psysciacc.org/login/canvas). If you are not yet registered on the platform, this link (https://member.psysciacc.org/) contains helpful information about how to get set up. As usual, you can contact psa.membersite@gmail.com (mailto:psa.membersite@gmail.com) if you are having trouble with the Canvas platform.
If you have general questions about the election, you can contact Miguel Silan (mailto:miguelsilan@gmail.com) (PSA Board Member overseeing election), Nicholas Coles (mailto:ncoles@stanford.edu) (outgoing Director), or one of two election tellers: Priya Silverstein (mailto:priyasilverstein@gmail.com) and Tia Blackall (mailto:tiablackall@gmail.com) .

PSA-JTF-003: Error Correction (https://psysciacc.org/news/2022-12-06_second-special-call-for-studies-studying-generalizability-with-global-samples.html)
This project will investigate error correction behaviours in a large and culturally diverse sample. Participants will solve problems that elicit appealing yet incorrect intuitions twice: first, intuitively, then, reflectively, allowing them to correct initial errors. We plan to manipulate both the presence of feedback and answer justification. We will also examine the role of cross-cultural and individual differences, including metacognitive aspects of error recognition, in corrective behaviour.
This project welcomes interested collaborators who can collect data. Interested in learning more and potentially joining the project? Fill out this survey! (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdEqUp0cOb-duJXvd3C1-DBX8dTZOksDyV-3fh4KFeKyCYrOg/viewform)
We are also seeking PSA members to join the lead team in two key roles: the PSA translation coordinator and the PSA methodologist. The methodologist role includes reviewing the power analysis, reviewing the analysis plan, and collaborating on the data analysis. The translation role includes collaborating with language-wise coordinators to ensure that the PSA translation process is efficiently carried out in all languages of data collection. Interested in serving in one of these roles? Please email a brief summary of your relevant experiences, or any questions you may have about the roles, to Chris Chartier at cchartie@ashland.edu (mailto:cchartie@ashland.edu) .
